I started playing guitar when I was about 10 years old and I have always been fascinated with sound. I had a 5W amp and a guitar more suitable to playing slide than regular guitar. The strings were about ½ inch off of the fretboard at the nut! But I was a terror with that guitar and amp. Still have that little amp. From there it became a quest to always do what I could to upgrade and improve my tone. Little tweaks here and there to improve what I hear because to me, if it doesn’t sound right then it won’t sound right to anyone else listening. If you’re like me, then you’re probably your own worst critic. Most importantly, if I have a good tone that inspires me, then I feel I can play better and be more creative.

 

Fast forward several years and I began working on a career as an electrical engineer for a few major companies. Now, 30 years later, I am excited to have an opportunity to get back to what I love to do – use my engineering talents to create sounds that excite and inspire people! I’ve been told by several different people that I have a gift for hearing details that others may miss. I hope you’ll try my products and hear what I’m talking about.

My first product  I’m bringing to market is the Velvet Hammer. If you look this term up in the dictionary, you’ll see something to the effect of “soft and smooth, yet can do serious damage when required". From a sweet whisper to a pounding tone that packs a serious punch! That about sums it up. This pedal does it all and cleans up easily by rolling your guitar volume back.
